Rec Baseball - G League (ages 11-12)
Introduction to “traditional/real baseball.” Instructional League that encourages growth in a player's specific position(s), under rules that are less liberal while facing improving pitchers. Games will be played in the CBL which constitutes of various communities in the surrounding area. Players must be 11 or 12 years of age as of April 30th of the current year.
Season Information:
- Registration will be open in early January.
- Each player will need to complete an evaluation of skills in early March.
- The season runs from mid-April to mid-July.
- Games will begin in early May.
- RAH plays in the Community Baseball League (CBL) with teams from Copley, Highland, Revere, Norton, Doylestown (Chippewa), and West Akron.
- Travel distance is typically within a 10 mile radius from Highland area.
- Cost is $180 per player.
- Games are played weekly and could be scheduled on weeknights and weekends.
- Practice is based on field and coach availability and will be scheduled on a team by team basis.
- Uniforms: RAH will provide each player with a Jersey and Hat
- Team equipment supplied by RAH: helmets, baseballs, and catchers' gear to be shared with team.
- Required player equipment: glove, baseball pants, athletic cleats
- Recommended equipment: Bat
- Optional player equipment: personal helmet
